Hello! Thank you so much for taking time to look at my artwork.
My name is Lauren, and I have been painting leisurely my entire life. In recent years, however, I have found myself drawn to paint particular holy images from prayer.
I am very convicted that these little revalations of God (which have greatly deepened my personal understanding of Him), are not meant to remain with me alone. I am learning that when any of us is gifted with a beautiful consolation in prayer, it is never a keepsake nor a merit of personal virtue. On the contrary, the receiver of this gift is meerly God's selected vessel for that grace, which He wills to be received by each and every person- in community.
In all sincerity, I have wrestled with revealing these images, which feel so raw to my interior life. For in sharing, they are both exposed to disapproval as well as potentially adopted into another's prayer that isn't mine. What freedom there is, though, in knowing that our Omnioptent Lord's love and attention is never divided, shifted, or decreased. Love only multiplies when shared.
So, with hope and excitement, I invite you into a glimpse of my interior life, or, as I've named this collection, my Interior Tabernacle. May these graces no longer stop with me, but become ours!
